A new photoventure with the radtavs

If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you’ll have seen this family before and you know they love an adventure.

This time we headed up to Donner Lake for what I thought would be a hike in the woods. Instead we stop on the side of the road and I see this:

Now, it’s not like I’m against hiking or anything, but I definitely wasn’t expecting to climb up a rocky hillside for this photo shoot. Did I do it anyway? Of course. I’ll do anything for great photos (and my clients).

So, I huffed and puffed my way up to the abandoned train tunnels (you can sort of see them on the left there) and was not disappointed. Everywhere I looked were awesome backdrops, almost too many to choose from.

We wandered through the tunnels, stopping at various places for photos, and then just to explore. I would have never know about this place if it weren’t for my clients, but it was so cool to see and to think about when these tunnels were made and what a feat it must have been.
