26 Oct Lake Tahoe Family Photo Adventure
It’s early and I’m tired. Kids are waking up, playing games, and whispering tiny conversations. I can hear everything from my bed up in the loft, but I’m not ready to get up so I lay there and listen. I start thinking about the light outside and what our location is going to look like. I’ve never seen the spot so I’m a little nervous. I’m always a little nervous before a shoot.
Our Air BnB is close to everything and we’re finally ready to go. We make our way down to the lake with 3 families in tow and our adventure begins. We’re running a little late to get the best light, but we find the perfect shady spot under a tree with the lake as our backdrop. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
The kids are gems and unknowingly create the best candid moments. Then they pose like pros for the posed photos making our shoot a breeze.
Sometimes the unknown is better. Sometimes creating in the moment pushes you to do better. No planning, no expectations, just spontaneous perfection.
