It was such a delight to have this beautiful newborn baby boy in my Rocklin studio.  He was perfectly sleepy and adorable for the entire session which means we got a bunch of different looks including an old suitcase, a really cool vintage crate, a well worn Tonka dumptruck, and a simple comfy blanket with an adorable newborn hat and pants outfit.

What props would you want for your newborn session?  Boys are always a challenge since they can’t wear pretty bows like newborn girls, so new ideas area definitely welcome.  I’m thinking of getting a vintage looking toy plane, a giant teddy bear or maybe some more cute hats.  Just some ideas I’m throwing around.

One of the best things is when my clients have awesome props laying around their house that we can use.  It’s a good idea to look around and see what you can find before your newborn shoot.  That way, the stuff we use is not only cute but has some meaning to you.
